Steve transferred early from the Physiology program at the University of Alberta to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, Ontario. Graduating with Clinical Honours in 1997, he began practicing in the Calgary area a few months later. Steve has broadened his focus through additional studies in Active Release Techniques, nutrition, pediatrics, rehabilitation and numerous treatment techniques. Steve is Advanced Proficiency Rated in Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique(AMCT).
In June 2008 he was part of a small Canadian contingent who attended an international chiropractic conference in Rimini, Italy. Steve has been active in the community since returning to Alberta. The Calgary Interfaith Foodbank continues to be his charitable focus, and he volunteers his time each year helping coach minor league hockey and soccer.
Malynnda’s understanding of the musculoskeletal system began as a determined athlete. As a former gymnast the concepts of strength , flexibility, power, and endurance were engrained at a young age. With her gymnastic career ending as provincial champion her desire to pass on her knowledge was fulfilled by becoming a gymnastic instructor. Currently she is a L.E.A.P. instructor at Gymtastics building young athletes to their full potential.
To stay in a sport related field Malynnda received a 2200 hour diploma at Foothills College of Massage Therapy. As a massage therapist she specializes in myofascial stretching, relaxation / stress and energy management, hydrotherapy, and of course sport / rehabilitation therapy. Malynnda strongly believes in the golden rule and will always do her best to aid others to reach their goals in health and wellness.
Lily Zhang got her Ph. D. majoring in food science and human nutrition in the United States. She is interested in natural healing and got her training in Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and Canada. In order to broaden her knowledge in Western medicine, she got her nursing training in Canada.
As a Chinese medicine practitioner (over 9 years experience), Lily’s specialty: pain management, GI problems, stress management, women’s health, and boost immunity. As an RN, her specialty: geriatric and mental health.
Lily’s comprehensive knowledge and rich experience enable her to provide best care and effective results to her clients.
Jackie has been running the clinic as office manager since January 2008. She has a passion for natural health approaches and patient care and has extensive experience in both. She has worked as a nursing aide throughout Calgary for over thirteen years and also managed a natural health clinic office prior to joining our team. With her wide ranging knowledge and expertise, Jackie is able to guide each prospective client to the practioner(s) best suited to his/her needs.
Vicky has been working with us since December 2009. She brings with her years of experience in public relations and customer service and is well equipped to answer any questions you may have about our clinic. She is currently working towards a degree at Mount Royal University.
